Biographical Information

Joseph Conselyea Pinckney played for the Morrisania Unions in the 1850s. In 1856 he appeared in a game with the New York Gothams while he was a member of the Unions, causing the team owners to become furious with him. In 1857 he jumped to the Gothams and played the whole year with them. He returned to the Unions in 1858. He was colonel of the 6th New York Militia during the Civil War. After this, he became a politician.
