Biographical Information

Jose Torres was a minor league pitcher and college coach.

Torres pitched for the 1983 Butte Copper Kings, going 8-3 with a 3.00 ERA. He walked 37 in 69 innings, but struck out 75 and allowed only two home runs. He was 6th in the Pioneer League in ERA. In 1984, he was with the Bakersfield Dodgers (4-11, 4.46, 79 BB in 119 IP) and San Antonio Dodgers (1-1, 7.27, 14 BB in 17 1/3 IP).

In 2006, he was named head coach of his alma mater.
