Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Jose Stennett played in the Minnesota Twins system from 1968 to 1970 and the Pittsburgh Pirates system in 1971. He then played in the Mexican League in 1974 and from 1976 to 1977. He slashed .299/.356/.430 with 4 home runs, 52 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 92 games between two clubs his first campaign, then made the Midwest League All-Star team in 1969 by hitting .299/.358/.470 with 11 home runs, 44 RBI and 13 stolen bases in that circuit; he batted .278/.336/.425 on the year as a whole. After a couple ho-hum seasons, he joined the Mexican League; with the Pericos de Puebla in 1974, he hit .328, but in just 61 at-bats. He batted .283 with 20 home runs and 47 home runs in 459 career games.
