Biographical Information[edit]
Jose Manuel Hernandez pitched in the Mexican League and the CPBL.
Hernandez played for the Tigres Capitalinos from 1992 to 1994, and he went to the Tecolotes de Nuevo Laredo from 1995 to 1997. After pitching for the Acereros de Monclova in 1998, Hernandez went 7-5 with a 4.49 ERA for them in 1999. He then had a 3-3 record with a 3.97 ERA in 35 games in 2001, but he struggled in 2002 as his ERA was 6.20 in 8 games for the Cordoba Cafeteros. Hernandez recorded a 2.48 ERA in 55 relief outings with the Veracruz Rojos, then the Macoto Cobras of Taiwan signed him. However, Hernandez’s ERA was 8.78 in 5 games in 2003, then he returned to Veracruz. He had a 6.35 ERA in 9 games in 2005, and he also pitched 15 games with a 9.82 ERA for the Puebla Pericos. Hernandez allowed 4 runs in an inning for the Tabasco Olmecas in 2006, then his professional career ended. He coached Mexico in the 2022 U-23 Baseball World Cup
