Biographical Information

José Delgado was the starting second baseman for the Bolivian national team in the 2022 South American Championship, the second straight Cuban to hold that position for Bolivia - Yander Matos had done so in 2018. In their opening loss to Peru, he was the only player on Bolivia to reach base. After grounded out against Ken Ishihara in the 1st, he reached on an error by Rider Zevallos in the 4th to prevent a perfect game.
