Jordi Vallés has played for the Spanish national team.

He started playing for the Club Hèrcules L'Hospitalet, was there for 6 years, after which he spent 3 years with the CB Sant Boi; his last Catalan club was FC Barcelona. He played his first European Junior Championship, in Livorno (Italy) in 1998 and was named Best Pitcher of tournament with one no-hit, no-run game against Austria. The following year, he played in his second European Junior Championship in Ostrava (Czech Republic) and he again tossed a no-hit shutout, this time facing Israel.

As a teenager, Valles allowed two runs (one earned) in nine innings in the 1999 European Championship. He was awful in the 2003 European Championship with three walks, a hit batsman, a wild pitch and two runs allowed while retiring no one. He was 4-1 with a 4.04 ERA for FC Barcelona in the 2004 Division Honor.

He had a 7.71 ERA for Spain in the 2005 European Championship; the team won the Bronze Medal. In the 2005 Baseball World Cup, he gave up 10 hits in 20 at-bats and eight runs (six earned) in 3 1/3 innings for Spain's worst ERA. He was 6-1 with a save and a 1.58 ERA for FC Barcelona in 2006. In the European Cup Pool B, he pitched the semifinal against Britain's Bracknell Blazers.

In 2007, he fell to 3-2 with 5.35 in 2007 but he was the Best Pitcher in the 2007 CEB Cup in Karlovac (Croatia) with a 0.00 ERA in 9 innings as FC Barcelona won the CEB Tournament.

In 2008, he only pitched four innings in the regular season, not allowing a run. He also threw one shutout inning in the 2008 European Cup as FC Barcelona won the Regensburg phase. He did not pitch in 2009.

In 2010, he pitched 84 innings with a 3.86 ERA for Astros de Valencia; his record was 5-7. He held left-handed batters to a .174 average, 4th-lowest in the league, and threw 18 wild pitches, second-most.
