Biographical Information[edit]

Jordan McArdle played in the minors and has been on the Australian national team.

He hit .279/.355/.468 for the Adelaide Bite in the 2016-2017 Australian Baseball League, fielding .990 as their most-used first baseman while still a teenager. He was signed by Arizona Diamondbacks scout Craig Shipley. [1] He batted .191/.293/.209 for the '17 AZL Diamondbacks.

In 2017-2018, he fell to .202/.310/.345 for Adelaide. He returned to the AZL Diamondbacks in 2018 and improved to .278/.385/.352 but it would end his time in the Dbacks system. He hit .280/.419/.680 with eight RBI in eight games as Australia's DH in the 2018 U-23 Baseball World Cup. He tied for 10th in the Cup in RBI and tied for third with three homers, one behind Isan Díaz and Ulrich Bojarski. [2] In 2018-2019, he fanned in 40 of 106 at-bats for the Bite, eking out a .160/.176/.283 line. He rebounded to .304/.413/.522 with 20 RBI in 28 games in 2019-2020 then hit .264/.361/.321 in 2020-2021.

The 2021-2022 ABL season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Returning to action in 2022-2023, he produced at a .256/.331/.504 clip with 9 homers in 37 games, now playing right field regularly. He was 5th in the league in dingers. He then went deep three times in the three-game finals as Adelaide beat the Perth Heat. He was named finals MVP. [3]
