Jonathan Burton has been a college coach.

Burton went 13-10 in his college career, during which he recovered from Tommy John surgery. He scouted for the team while rehabbing. He was assistant coach at Trevecca Nazarene University in 2005 and 2007-2008. He became head coach in 2009 and went 27-23 his first year, 29-23 his second season. In 2012, Burton became head coach at Lindsey Wilson College.
