Biographical Information[edit]

Utility man Jonah McReynolds played in the Texas Rangers system from 2016 to 2019. He was taken by the club in the 13th round of the 2016 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Brian Matthews.

McReynolds played for the Rookie level AZL Rangers in 2016 and the Low-A Spokane Indians from 2017 to 2019. He never hit higher .239 in a season and finished with a career slash line of .217/.285/.322 with 9 home runs, 59 RBI, 6 stolen bases, 37 walks and 204 strikeouts in 577 at-bats over four seasons.

On October 31, 2019, he was traded to the Chicago White Sox for catcher Welington Castillo and international slot money, but never played for the club. The White Sox released him on March 30, 2020.
