Johnny Miron
John Miron
- Bats Right, Throws Right
Pitcher Johnny Miron debuted with the 1953 Oshkosh Giants and went 3-6, 4.93. A year later, he threw for the Olean Giants and had a 5-5, 4.37 season. It was his last season in baseball.
Personal Remembrance[edit]
John Miron was a right-handed pitcher for the 1953 Class D Oshkosh Giants of the Wisconsin State League. I believe this was his rookie year in pro baseball, and I think he was from Connecticut, although I'm not sure. I was also a pitcher on this team. I remember John as being about average in height and weight, but being more on the slender side. He had a quick motion when pitching, but did not have particularly good velocity. He was, however, a good competitor, and a likeable teammate, with a good sense of humor. I believe he continued his pro career after Oshkosh, but I don't know what other teams he played for.
