Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher John Wood played in the Milwaukee Brewers system from 1981 to 1984. He was drafted by the club in the 14th round of the 1980 amateur draft.

He began his career with a 2.81 ERA in 36 games (one start) in 1981 and a 12-6 record and a 3.88 ERA in 25 games (17 starts) in 1982. In 1983, he had a 17.72 ERA in five games (four starts) and in 1984, his mark was 7.08 in 37 games (two starts). Overall, he was 19-12 with a 4.82 ERA in 103 games (24 starts).

He died in 2012 at age 51.
