John Vodenlich
John Vodenlich has been a college coach.
Vodenlich played for the team that won the Slovenian National Championship in 1994. He then returned to his alma mater, UW-Whitewater, as assistant coach from 1994-1997. He was head coach of Edgewood College in 1998-1999, going 29-40, with the school's first winning record ever (19-17) his second season. He also coached the golf team there. He was back at Whitewater as assistant coach from 2000-2003, then was promoted to head coach.
Vodenlich was named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2004, 2008, 2009 and 2010. He set a school record for wins (39-9) in 2004 and took the team to the 2004 Division III College World Series. The next year was better yet as he went 45-7, won the 2005 Division III College World Series and was named NCAA Division III Coach of the Year. He also took Whitewater to third place at the 2008 Division III College World Series and an appearance in the 2011 Division III College World Series.
