Biographical Information[edit]
John Stokoe pitched in the Milwaukee Braves system from 1958 to 1961 and in the Baltimore Orioles system in 1961. He won 10 games between two clubs his first campaign, then went 16-8 with 15 complete games and a 3.15 ERA for the Yakima Braves in 1960. He had 13 wins and 10 complete games between two clubs in 1961 to wrap up his career. Overall, he went 42-33 in 149 games.
He began scouting for the Baltimore Orioles in 1968. He won the A.B. "Turk" Karam Award in 1985.
