Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder John Raczka played in the minor leagues from 1940 to 1942 and in 1946. In 1941, with the Washington Red Birds, he hit .359 with 12 home runs in 109 games; upon returning from service in the United States Army during World War II (during which he won five battle stars), he hit .333 in 68 games for the Manchester Giants.
