Biographical Information[edit]

John Patton pitched in the independent Western Baseball League from 1995 to 1998 for the Salinas Peppers (1995-1996) and Sonoma County Crushers (1997-1998). In his debut campaign, he went 11-6 with a 2.01 ERA in 22 games (19 starts), then he followed that by going 8-6 with a 4.73 ERA in 22 starts. Moving to Sonoma County in 1997, Patton went 8-5, 5.20 in 18 starts his first year, then he went 8-6 with a 4.15 ERA in 19 games (18 starts) to wrap up his career. In his final campaign, he had 130 Ks in 121 1/3 innings.

Overall, Patton went 35-23 with a 3.98 ERA in 81 games (77 starts) over four seasons. In 506 1/3 innings, he allowed 478 hits and 241 walks (1.420 WHIP), while striking out 474 batters.
