John Mitchell Sr.

• Died January 28, 2020 in Birmingham, AL USA

Biographical Information

John Mitchell was an outfielder for the Detroit Stars in 1955 and Birmingham Black Barons from 1957-1960. He was in the 1958 East-West Game and 1960 East-West Game (starting in center for the East). His brother Jessie Mitchell also played in the Negro Leagues. He later worked in the steel industry.
