Biographical Information[edit]

John Martin was a minor-league player and has been a college coach.

A catcher, he was drafted in the 24th round of the 2006 amateur draft out of Emporia State University by the Los Angeles Dodgers, and played two seasons in the Dodgers organization. He then played in the independent leagues from 2008 to 2010.

In 2012, he was named the head baseball coach at Coffeyville Community College. He coached there for four seasons, compiling a 133-105 record. In July 2015, he was hired as the head coach for University of Central Oklahoma. His brother Jake Martin succeeded him at Coffeyville.
