John Harvey has been a college coach.

Harvey was assistant at Itawamba Community College in 2002 then was assistant coach at Henderson State University in 2003-2004. He then was promoted to head coach and went 31-22 in 2004. He set a school record for wins with 34 in 2009. He had a 154-148 record in six seasons at Henderson State then moved to the University of Arkansas-Monticello as head coach in 2011.
