Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher John Halvachs played in the New York Giants minor league system in 1953 and 1954, going 5-1 with a 3.27 mark in 44 innings for the Pauls Valley Raiders the former year and 3-7 with a 6.00 ERA in 84 innings for the Danville Dans the latter. He later served as head coach of Millikin University from 1966 to 1968, between the tenures of Mel Bishop and Larry Chapman.
