Biographical Information[edit]
John Halla pitched three games for the 1905 Cleveland Naps, posting an ERA of 2.84.
The team ERA that year was 2.85.
John had a good minor league career with more than 195 wins. He won 20+ games at least four times. One of his best seasons was 1907 with Topeka, for whom he went 24-9 and also hit .232. Tex Erwin, who came to the majors at the end of August to begin a six-year major league career, hit .261 with Topeka that year.
