Biographical Information[edit]

John Godwin played for the Boston Americans in 1905 and 1906. His cup of coffee in 1905 was quite good, with a .326 batting average and the highest OPS+ on the team. However, in 1906 he hit .187 and that ended his major league career.

Most of Godwin's pro career was in the Three-I League. He played at least five years for Bloomington and additional years for other teams in the league.
