Biographical Information[edit]
John Floras began his professional umpiring career in the Appalachian League in 1976. He then worked in the Gulf Coast League in 1977, the Florida State League in 1977 and 1978, the Eastern League from 1978 to 1980 and the International League from 1981 to 1986.
He worked National League games as a replacement umpire in both 1991 and 1995, both times when the regular umpires were on strike.
