Biographical Information[edit]
John Dudra won five major battle stars for action in the European Theatre in World War II. He was also terrific in his brief time in the major leagues, putting up a batting line of .360/.429/.560 in 14 games for the Boston Braves in 1941. His last year in pro ball was 1942, when he played for the Hartford Bees.
John played for the Braves against the St. Louis Cardinals in Stan Musial's first game, on September 17th. Source: SABR article.
