Biographical Information

John "Lefty" Dobb came out of what is now Central Michigan University, where he attended 1920-1924, to pitch two innings with the Chicago White Sox in 1924. He is not shown as pitching any games in the minors.

An article [1] states that he turned down offers to play minor league ball, preferring instead to play local ball in Michigan for years, where he was successful.
