John Casey was head coach of his alma mater, Tufts, from 1984-2021, posting a 765-431-5 record. Casey's son, Kevin Casey, became head coach at Johnson & Wales University in 2019, and another son, Brian Casey, was named head coach of United States Coast Guard Academy in 2021. A third son, Brendan Casey, became a head coach in 2023.
