John Brining

From BR Bullpen

IF/OF John Brining played for the British national team in the 1967 European Championship, going 3 for 14 with two homers, five RBI, four runs and a steal. He hit a crucial 9th-inning, two-run homer against Sweden to come back from a 2-1 deficit and give Britain the win. He had Britain's only two homers of the tournament, led the team in runs and RBI and helped the team win a Silver Medal, their first ever in a European Championship. He also played in the 1971 European Championship.
