Biographical Information[edit]
John Bacon is an umpire who worked his first major league games in 2019. Before becoming an umpire in organized baseball, he had worked in the Coastal Plain League, in summer college baseball. A graduate of the Jim Evans umpiring school, he worked in the Gulf Coast League (2008); Appalachian League (2009-2010); Midwest League (2010); Carolina League (2011-2012); Southern League (2012); Eastern League (2013-2015). He reached the AAA International League in 2016 and was a crew chief in that circuit when he was first called up to the majors.
