Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher John Bachman played in the minor leagues in 1969 and 1970.

Drafted by the New York Mets in the 37th round of the 1967 amateur draft, Bachman began his professional career with the Marion Mets in 1969. He hit .265/.375/.382 with one home run in 34 at-bats that year. He had five passed balls in 12 games behind the plate. In 1970, he hit .227/.376/.299 with one home run in 47 games (97 at-bats) for the Danville Warriors. He fielded .989 but had 11 more passed balls in 35 games at catcher.

Overall, Bachman hit .237/.376/.321 in 63 minor league games.
