Joe Weber was born and died in Hamilton, ON, Canada, a couple hundred miles from Detroit. He got into a couple of games with the 1884 Detroit Wolverines, a team that ended up in last place in the National League, 56 games out of first place.

He was the first major leaguer born in Hamilton.
