Biographical Information

Joe Teixeira has been a minor league pitcher and a college coach.

Teixeira was undrafted out of college. As an amateur free agent, he signed with the Baltimore Orioles. With the 1989 Bluefield Orioles, he went 2-2 with two saves and a 4.14 ERA in 19 games, walking only 12 in 45 2/3 IP. He went 1-0 with a 9.53 ERA in 7 contests for the 1990 Wausau Timbers, with 22 hits in 11 1/3 IP, to end his playing career with a record of 3-2, 5.21 and two saves.

He was assistant coach at Assumption College from 2000-2004. In 2007, he became head coach of Nichols College, going 70-137 after six years.
