Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Joe Safford played in the minor leagues from 1905 to 1913. He spent the plurality of those years with the La Crosse Pinks/Outcasts/Colts, suiting up for them from 1908 to 1911 and in 1913. His statistical record is incomplete, however it is known he hit .304 with 128 hits in 112 games in 1909 in what was perhaps the best year of his career. He also managed La Crosse in 1909 and 1910 and the Troy Trojans in 1912.
