Joe Rose
Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Rose of the Honolulu Wanderers was named the top second baseman in the 1940 Hawaii League. [1] He was on the Hawaiian national team in the 1940 Amateur World Series. [2] The San Francisco Seals had been interested in signing him but a knee injury ruined that shot. [3] He was a sportscaster for KGMB, KHON and KGU starting in 1939 and continuing for over 30 years. He also wrote for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. [4]
