Joe Kinney is a college coach.

Kinney was assistant coach at Lehigh University from 1990-1992 while earning his master's degree. Joe was an assistant at Navy from 1992-1999.

In 1999, Kinney was named head coach at Lafayette College. In 2002, he took the team to the Patriot League Tournament for the first time. Two years later, they made the finals for the first time, before losing to Army. In 2007, Lafayette set a school record with 33 wins. Kinney was named Patriot League Coach of the Year.
