Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Kiefer served in the U. S. Army during World War I. His pitching career spanned 21 years and he had three cups of coffee with the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox. He worked for Savage Arms Corporation and then spent twenty years at Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, retiring in 1964. He died two weeks short of his 76th birthday after a brief illness and is buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Whitesboro, NY.
