Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Joe Johnson began his professional career in 2006 after being taken by the Atlanta Braves in the 13th round of the 2006 amateur draft, a few picks after infielder Daniel Murphy. He played for the GCL Braves and Danville Braves his first year, going 3-2 with a 3.00 ERA. In 2007, he was 1-1 with a 4.87 mark for the Rome Braves.

He died at 30 years old in a plane crash.
