Biographical Information

Joe Gormley pitched a game for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1891. From time to time Sporting Life referred to a pitcher named Gormley, which may well have been Joe. In 1892 it quoted an umpire as saying the best semi-pro pitcher in Pennsylvania was Gormley of the Lansford team. In 1906 a pitcher named Gormley played for Green Bay.
