Biographical Information[edit]
Joe "Peco" Giard played three years in the major leagues. His first year, in 1925, was his best, with a record of 10-5 on the St. Louis Browns, in a year when they finished 3rd in the league. With the famous New York Yankees team of 1927, he appeared in 16 games.
He won 20 games for the Toledo Mud Hens in 1924 before he came to the majors.
Notable Achievement[edit]
- Won a World Series with the New York Yankees in 1927 (he did not play in the World Series)
