Biographical Information[edit]
Joe Campbell played only one game in his major league career. He started in right field and batted 7th for the Chicago Cubs on May 3, 1967 against the Atlanta Braves. All three of his at bats and strikeouts were against Dick Kelley. He was originally signed by the New York Mets and scout Gary Gearhart. He was at Morehead State College from 1963-1965, the same years as Denny Doyle. He spent most of 1966 with the Greenville Mets.
