Biographical information[edit]
Second baseman Jimmy Moran spent 11 years in the minor leagues, including eight in the Pacific Coast League. His career spanned from 1946 to 1956 and his PCL career ran from 1949 to 1956. While in the PCL, he played for the San Francisco Seals (1949-1955), Sacramento Solons (1949), Oakland Oaks (1951) and Seattle Rainiers (1956). Perhaps his best season was 1954, when he hit .291/.341/.343 with 184 hits, 33 doubles and 217 total bases in 159 games.
Overall, he hit .271 with 16 home runs, 1,329 hits, 162 doubles and 29 triples in 1,333 games.
