Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Jim Williamson played in the St. Louis Cardinals minor league system from 1965 to 1968.

With the FRL Cardinals and Rock Hill Cardinals in 1965, the 18-year-old went 4-3 with a 2.76 ERA in 22 relief appearances. In 1966, he was 5-1 with a 2.19 ERA in 34 appearances for the St. Petersburg Cardinals and in 1967, again with St. Petersburg, he went 8-3 with a 1.88 ERA in 33 appearances. He finished his career playing for the Modesto Reds and Cedar Rapids Cardinals in 1968, going 5-2 with a 2.53 ERA in 34 games.

Overall, Williamson was 22-9 (a .710 winning percentage) with a 2.29 ERA in 123 games.
