Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Price was a popular and reliable backup receiver for Bill Freehan.
After retirement Price lived and worked in the Detroit, MI area. He was a broadcaster for the Detroit Tigers beginning in 1993, working television through 1998 and radio after 1999. He worked alongside Ernie Harwell from 1999-2002 and then alongside Dan Dickerson for 20 years. In his radio role, he sometimes added play-by-play to his analyst duties.
