Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Jim Lillie played four years in the National League in the 1880's. Most of that time he was with the Buffalo Bisons, a team that featured famous players such as Dan Brouthers and Davy Force. He was one of the youngest players on the team.
Jim played for the 1886 Kansas City Cowboys of the 1886 National League, and then stayed in K.C. when a team formed to play in the Western League in 1887.
Lillie died young in 1890. Sporting Life in 1889 mentioned that his wife had burned to death.
