Biographical Information

Jim Lawler was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 16th round of the 1972 amateur draft and spent that summer with the Johnson City Yankees.

Lawler was the head coach at Gonzaga University (1979-1980) and University of Texas at El Paso (1981-1984). He was then assistant coach at Texas A&M University (1985-2005) and head coach at University of Arkansas at Little Rock (2006-2008).
