Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Holloway pitched three games for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1929. As a hitter he went 1-for-1.
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette lists him as being on the baseball team in 1927, the football team in 1926-28 and the basketball team in 1926-29. At the time he attended there, it was called Southwestern Louisiana Institute.
His obituary states that he served as district manager for United Fruit in Guatemala, then was a farmer and ran the Kenmore Plantation in the Baton Rouge area. He was vice chairman of the board of a local bank. Source: Calcasieu Parish Area 1997 Obituaries. See also Kenmore Plantation House.
