Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Geddes started two games in the major leagues, and his team went on to win both. His first start was on October 2, 1972 as a member of the Chicago White Sox against the Minnesota Twins. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 8 hits, 4 runs (3 earned), walking 5 and striking out 1. The White Sox won the game, 6-4 as Dave Lemonds got the win. His second start was on July 4, 1973 for the White Sox against the Texas Rangers. He pitched 4 and 1/3 scoreless innings giving up 2 hits, walking 3, and striking out 1. Cy Acosta was the winning pitcher. In addition to these two starts, he made 9 appearances in relief for the White Sox over the two seasons.
