Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Jim Duffus played in the St. Louis Cardinals minor league system in 1948 and 1949. For the Winston-Salem Cardinals in the former campaign, he went 6-5 with a 3.40 ERA in 13 games. In '49, he was 7-5 with a 4.08 mark in 24 games for the Allentown Cardinals. Overall, Duffus went 13-10 with a 3.78 ERA in 37 games.

While at Yale, he was teammates with President George H.W. Bush and pitched in the first two College World Series.

He also wrote a book, Thank You Baseball.
