Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Cuneo was a substitute umpire in both the National League and American League. During the one-day strike staged by major league umpires on August 25, 1978, he worked at third base in a game at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, CA. In 1979, he worked a total of 31 games between the two major leagues, all of the games taking place in San Francisco or Oakland, CA.
He served in the United States Navy.
