Biographical Information

Jesus Silva pitched for three years in the Boston Red Sox chain, all with the Elmira Pioneers. He was 0-2 with a 6.38 ERA in 1981, walking 15 in 24 innings. He was 3-4 wit ha 5.04 ERA in 1982, fanning 62 in 64 1/3 innings. He was 5th in the New York-Penn League in home runs (14). He was 1-1 with a 5.16 ERA. He finished his career 4-7 with a 5.34 ERA in 26 games (21 starts). In 118 innings, he allowed 130 hits and 56 walks while striking out 99.
