Jerry Nason was the sports editor for the Boston Globe from 1942 to 1975. His greatest claim to fame was writing the lead story in the Globe for fifty consecutive Boston Marathons. Nason was the first sportswriter to take up the cause of Addie Joss to get him elected to the Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the International Swimming Hall of Fame.
