Jerome Richard Krause

Biographical Information[edit]

Jerry Krause began in basketball, serving as a scout for numerous NBA teams before moving to Major League Baseball's Chicago White Sox, for whom he scouted in the 1970s and 1980s. In the mid-1980s, Krause returned to basketball, serving as the general manager for the Chicago Bulls during their run of six NBA championships. He was a two-time recipient of the NBA's Executive of the Year award. In the 2000s, he returned to baseball scouting, working for the New York Yankees, White Sox and New York Mets. He last worked for the Arizona Diamondbacks as a special assistant in its scouting department.
